- is a basic acclamation class. Students will be introduced to the fundamental skills of swimming, things like blowing bubbles, floating on back and front, kicking, going under water and water safety. This class is used to teach children to be aware of themselves in and around a swimming area.
Beginner I - Students will build on the core skills taught in Aqua Kids. It will also introduce some new skills like gliding, front crawl, back crawl, and breath control. All of these skills are centered around independent swimming while increasing comfort level.
Beginner II - This level is for students who can swim without touching the ground, but are not familiar with swimming long distances without stopping. They will learn things like how to use rhythmic breathing with the front crawl, diving from the side and diving board and how to swim underwater.
Swimmer I - Students will work to refine the skills learned in the former levels, while increasing endurance. This level will also introduce new strokes like breaststroke and side stroke. Students will swim 20-25 meters at a time.
Advanced Strokes - Is our highest level. This class is for students who can swim 20-25 yards without stopping. All strokes, basic turns and maneuvers will be used in this class including butterfly.
